Daniel Ion, Member of the OMV Petrom Marketing S.R.L. The new stations will offer a wide range of products and services, from standard fuels, OMV MaxxMotion performance fuels to electro-mobility solutions. Both stations accommodate ultra-fast charging points through the strongest electro-mobility hub in Romania, both for cars and trucks – in total, the two stations have 34 charging points. Extensive shop spaces, bill and toll payment services will also be available, as well as restaurants with the VIVA concept, which will offer hot meals, sandwiches, salads, and desserts, prepared daily by the station's chefs. They are equipped with photovoltaic panel systems that can cover up to 10% of the station's daily electricity consumption, as well as facilities to reuse captured rainwater.
The stations and related facilities were built under a concession contract concluded between OMV Petrom Marketing SRL and the National Road Infrastructure Management Company.
OMV Petrom operates a network of ~780 filling stations under the Petrom and OMV brands across Romania, Moldova, Bulgaria, and Serbia. The company has developed a network of around 800 charging points for electric vehicles. In line with its Strategy 2030, OMV Petrom is ambitiously expanding its electric vehicle charging infrastructure, aiming to install over 5,000 charging points by 2030, making it the largest provider of e-mobility services in Romania. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to supporting the transition to a lower-carbon future.
