Renewable Energy Projects under our Strategy 2030
We are developing a portfolio of solar and wind projects in Romania and Bulgaria, in line with our Strategy 2030.
Solar and wind power can contribute to a more diversified electricity mix. While solar projects use photovoltaic panels to convert sunlight into electricity, wind turbines convert wind into electricity.
Progressing our renewable energy portfolio
Through our Strategy 2030, we target more than 2.5 GW of installed solar and wind power capacity, including through partnerships, by 2030. We are also planning to develop power storage solutions to support the integration of these projects into the electricity grid. At the end of 2025, more than one third of this 2030 capacity target was under construction and approximately 70 MW was operational.

~1.9 GW in Solar Power Projects
We are investing in solar power projects, both independently and through strategic partnerships. Our key projects are: Teleorman (~710 MW, 100% owned by OMV Petrom), Gabare (~400 MW, 50% OMV Petrom stake), Renovatio Partnership (~200 MW, 50% OMV Petrom stake), CE Oltenia Partnership (~550 MW, 50% OMV Petrom stake), Doljchim (~89 MW, 100% owned by OMV Petrom, developed on the former Doljchim industrial site). In addition we are developing small scale solar projects in our own locations.
~1 GW in Wind Power Projects
Through our partnership with Electrocentrale Borzești, we have secured a 50% stake in 4 wind power projects currently under development in Northeastern Romania. These projects will contribute to diversifying the national energy mix and will deliver renewable electricity at scale.
