We have a long tradition of responsible behavior towards employees, environment and communities.

We know that energy is essential for the economy and society. At the same time, we understand the impact it has on the environment. This is why we run operations responsibly, efficiently and innovatively, with a strong focus on long-term value creation for both the company and our stakeholders.

Guided by Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, we integrate ethical practices, community support, and environmental care into our operations. Through our Strategy 2030, we are committed to transitioning to a low-carbon future, embedding sustainability into our core business strategy and contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals with clear targets and actions aimed at achieving net-zero operations by 2050.

OMV Petrom Foundation

Launched in 2022, OMV Petrom Foundation is building programs and supporting long-term investments in Romania. Its mission is to connect and develop communities.

Guided by values such as equity, integrity, responsibility towards society, empathy, the Foundation's long-term partnerships aim to build a better tomorrow for Romania and Romanians through education, health and environment programs.

ESG Disclosure

In July 2020, OMV Petrom became the first Romanian company to support the Recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). This voluntary engagement demonstrates our commitment to giving more visibility to our climate-related initiatives, evaluating, disclosing and taking action on climate-related risks and opportunities.

Our actions to report transparently on ESG topics have earned us the recognition of important rating agencies: ISS, CDP, FTSE4Good Index Series, Sustainalytics, Ecovadis or S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assesment.
