We evolved from a predominantly local oil and gas company, into a regional energy company - a reliable supplier of energy for Romania, providing around one third of the country’s fuels and natural gas as well as around 10% of its power generation. Today, we continue this transformation with the development of Neptun Deep, the largest natural gas project in the European Union, as well as other investments in the low and zero carbon area. Our objective remains to create long-term value for our shareholders and for the Romanian economy”, said Christina Verchere, CEO OMV Petrom.
“We are celebrating 25 years of presence on the Bucharest Stock Exchange of OMV Petrom, one of strongest South-Eastern European companies and the second-largest Romanian issuer by market capitalization. Throughout this period, OMV Petrom has stood as a benchmark for professionalism, combining corporate governance with a continuous commitment to its investors. As a standalone investment or through the seven BVB-listed ETFs tracking indices that include SNP, the SNP share is a natural choice in the portfolios of hundreds of thousands of Romanians. We are confident that a partner of OMV Petrom’s caliber in the stock market ecosystem will continue to enhance Romania’s development and will open new roads towards progress and more sustainable energy,” said Remus Vulpescu, CEO of the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
