Legal complaint against Petrom filed by a significant shareholder

By the legal claim subject of the file nr. 2907/3/2008 of the Bucharest Court, AVAS requested the partial annulment of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Petrom S.A., dated November 27, 2007, concerning the approval of the revised budget for 2007. The court scheduled the first hearing on March 6, 2008.

Petrom considers that the request of AVAS is not justified because the respective Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders of Petrom S.A. was called in accordance with the legal provisions in force, and the rights of all shareholders were observed.
