Changes within Petrom’s Supervisory Board

Petrom announces that on February 12, 2009 Mr. Marian Turlea was appointed as interim member of the Supervisory Board with effect until the next General Meeting of Shareholders. Mr. Turlea’s appointment by the existing members of the Supervisory Board was done in line with art. 17.7 of Petrom’s Articles of Association.

The new representative of the Romanian State in the Supervisory Board was appointed following the nomination made by the Ministry of Economy in its capacity as Petrom shareholder.
Mr. Turlea replaces Mr. Victor-Paul Dobre who resigned from this position following his election as member of the Romanian Parliament.
