Bucharest, November 29, 2017 – Vodafone Romania and OMV Petrom successfully tested usage of the standardised NarrowBand-Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology in the oil and gas industry. The two companies tested NB-IoT technology on equipment located in the proximity of producing wells, in isolated areas, without cable internet access and without GSM coverage.
