Petrom launches on the market the ECO PREMIUM gas

As of August 1st, 2004, PETROM will market a new type of gas - Eco Premium.
Eco Premium gas is meant for the use only on vehicles with engines that are not provided with catalyst and will replace Premium and leaded Super Plus gas.

The use of Eco Premium is forbidden for the vehicles with engines that are provided with catalyst.

After introducing in 2001 types of fuels such as Euro Premium, Euro Diesel and Super Euro Diesel, PETROM launches on the market the Eco Premium gas in view of setting all its types of fuel within the environmental standards required by the European Union. In order to improve the performances of the engine and to reduce the pollution, Eco Premium gas contains a manganese-based additive.

The PETROM management settled the reference price of Eco Premium gas for 26900 lei per liter. PETROM Subsidiaries are allowed to market this product for a 5% smaller or bigger price than the above mentioned one.
Up to the depletion of Premium and leaded Super Plus stocks, Eco Premium gas will be sold simultaneously.

In accordance with the enforceable law, as of January 1st 2005, marketing leaded fuels will be forbidden in Romania.
