OMV Petrom launches CarHome application, a personal assistant for drivers

  • CarHome digitizes services available in OMV and Petrom filling stations such as the payment of the RCA and the vignette, and offers new features through a user-friendly and customizable interface
  • The application is drivers centric and has been developed based on the feedback provided by customers 

OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy company in South-Eastern Europe, launches CarHome, a mobile app that helps drivers to easier and quicker handle the requirements related to owning a vehicle. The application provides functionalities such as payment of the bridge tolls, vignette, and RCA insurance. In addition, CarHome notifies users about the expiry of the technical periodical inspection (ITP), about upcoming car service appointments. It also gives users the possibility to organize and attach all the documents related to owning a vehicle.

Radu Căprău, member of OMV Petrom Executive Board, responsible of Refining and Marketing: "We wanted to offer drivers an application that integrates the services they need for their personal or company car. The app has been developed together with our partners at Westaco and simplifies the interactions related to owning and maintaining a car."

The CarHome app is free and can be downloaded from the app stores of IOS and Android operating systems. It will be constantly updated with new products and services to be as useful as possible to the drivers in Romania.

Since 2007, OMV Petrom has included corporate responsibility principles into its business strategy. Between 2007 and 2022, the company has allocated around 120 million euro to develop communities in Romania, focusing on environmental protection, education, health, and local development.

On July 29th, 2020, OMV Petrom announced its support for the recommendations issued by the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) regarding risks and opportunities on climate change. OMV Petrom annually reports on the progress made in implementing these recommendations.
