Decision of the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition regarding OMV Bulgaria

Petrom hereby informs that its subsidiary OMV Bulgaria OOD received the decision of the Bulgarian Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) approving the commitments proposed by OMV Bulgaria OOD.

According to the decision, CPC terminates the proceedings with regards to the alleged breach of antitrust regulations because no further grounds exist for their continuation and provides a term of 30 days from the notification of this decision to the parties, for performance of the above commitments for which the CPC should be duly informed.

The commitments concern only the wholesale trade segment, referring to adjusting the clauses in the contracts in line with the latest requirements of the competition law and
setting up a mechanism of informing the customers with regards to prices aimed at avoiding an excessive transparency between competing companies.
