Petrom announces that the mandatory public take-over announcement on acquiring all shares of S.C. Petrom Aviation S.A. (symbol ROFU) that are not currently held by Petrom has been published, according to the legislation in force.

In October 2008, Petrom acquired an additional stake of 20.87% in Petrom Aviation by way of a transaction on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, and increased its participation in the company to 69.37%.

The offering period will unfold starting December 16, 2008 when more information will be published on the company’s website, www.petrom.com.
