Petrom decided to initiate the closure of all gas consuming units of Doljchim chemical plant. We consider closing down the above mentioned units until mid February 2009 and we will closely monitor the market developments in order to take further decisions.

A number of approximately 600 employees will be in technical unemployment.

This measure bears no material effect on Petrom’s activity and results. We will release further relevant information as soon as they are available.
