Change in Petrom Executive Board

Rainer Schlang will become member of Petrom Executive Board starting February 1st, 2010
He succeeds Tamas Mayer, who will take over new responsibilities in Petrol Ofisi

Petrom, the largest oil and gas producer in Southeastern Europe, announces a change in its Executive Board. Starting February 1, 2010, by decision of Petrom’s Supervisory Board, Rainer Schlang will become member of Petrom’s Executive Board, responsible for Marketing. Tamas Mayer will take over new responsibilities in Petrol Ofisi, Turkey's leading fuel and lubricants distribution company, in which OMV holds a 41.58% stake. Mayer, who has been a member of Petrol Ofisi’s Board of Directors since 2008, will be appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

From now on, Petrom will benefit from Mr. Schlang’s vast experience as an expert, who has been active in the fuel distribution field for over 25 years.

Rainer Schlang, graduate of Academy of Commerce and holder of an MBA from Krems University (Austria), joined OMV in 1980 and occupied various positions within the Group. In the last 15 years, Schlang has coordinated the marketing activities of OMV in Southeastern Europe, out of which, the last 12 years in Romania. From 2007 until present, Schlang has occupied the position of General Manager of OMV Romania, responsible for retail and commercial distribution in OMV’s networks in Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia and has furthermore been General Manager of OMV Croatia.
