10 years of Performance. Olympics’ Petrom Program

• On the occasion of June 1st, significant awards for 69 olympics’ winners
• 10 years since Petrom and FSLI support youth performance

Today, June 1st, within “Olympics’ Petrom Program”, 69 children and young people with exceptional results in national and international competitions have been awarded with prizes of 27.600 RON (total amount) and study camps.
Today’s ceremony also stands for 10 years since Petrom actively supports the Program meant for children of oil industry employees.

During the last 10 years, within “Olympics’ Petrom Program” initiated by FSLI, over 1300 children and young people who achieved performance in sports, art, literature, IT, chemistry, physics, civic education, foreign languages, have been financially awarded for excellent results within national and international competitions. Olympics that proved themselves contestant in performance have been granted monthly study scholarships.

The first decade of “Olympics’ Petrom Program” existence stood for children struggle to achieve performance, but also for gaining lot of trust in their values recognition, and for Petrom and FSLI meant the satisfaction obtained by creating and supporting an ambient of their own real value. Many of young Olympics that were supported by this program prove today the value of this project by the academic and professional progresses in USA, Great Britain, France or Austria.

Olympics’ Petrom Program is a part of corporate social responsibility program “Respect for future” initiated by Petrom. According to this perspective, Petrom has decided to use all its resources to create a sustainable future by developing programs which support education, environment protection or energetic efficiency.

After 10 years of investment in educational progress of these children, Petrom aims at further showing responsibility towards exceptional young people. Together with Independent Trade Unions Federation, Petrom will further support the needs of these young talented people.
