Petrom withdraws from Moody’s Investors Service quotation

• The withdrawal was made at the company request

As a result of the company’s privatization by the takeover of the majority stake by OMV AG, Petrom, member of OMV Group requested the withdrawal of the credit rating. After the privatization process, the risk level of the company is determined by the group.

The rating withdrawal request was sent to Moody’s Investors Service as a result of the closing of Petrom’s privatization process on 14.12.2004. In consequence, on 23.06.2005 Moody’s Investors Service withdrew the rating of Petrom SA. At the time of withdrawal, Petrom’s rating by Moody’s Investors Service is B2.
