Petrom invites people of all ages interested in sport to come to Piata Constitutiei on September 25th to join the sixth edition of Petrom Cross. Registrations for the cross will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the start of the competition will be at 11:00 o’clock. This year’s track will have an approximately 4 kilometers length on the following route: Piaţa Constituţiei – Calea 13 Septembrie – Strada Izvor – Blvd. Naţiunilor Unite – Piaţa Constituţiei.

"In the past three years, Petrom managed to build over 6,400 meters of cycling path in Herastrau and Titan Parks, in Bucharest, with the help of more than 6,000 participants to all Petrom Cross editions. We would like to thank those who were there with us at the previous editions and also to invite them again this year to promote together an active life, sports and a healthy lifestyle", said Dan Pazara, Petrom Communication Manger.

The novelty of this year’s edition is brought by the ranking system of the runners developed with the help of an electronic tracking system. Each participant at the Petrom cross will receive a T-shirt and a unique registration number in the contest, mandatory for the measurement of its performance in the final classification. Thus, each runner will have to step through the special carpet from the "start"/"finish" line in order to activate the sensor and to monitor the runner’s performance in the final ranking.

Petrom Cross has also prepared lots of surprises and a full artistic program. Carmen Bruma and Adrian Nartea will be joining you all day long, the specialists of Worldclass have prepared zumba, kickbox and cycling sessions and Hervis Sports representatives have decided to challenge you to a basketball, ping pong, volleyball and football game. Also, the nutritionist doctor Serban Damian will host a 30 minutes seminar about healthy nutrition and sports nutrition and, in order for you to measure your blood pressure and test your health, we will bring among us the specialist from Romanian Heart Foundation (Fundatia Romana a Inimii). Petrom Cross will end with a concert hosted by Elena Gheorghe.

Petrom Cross participants can subscribe to one of the following categories: Juniors (14-18 years), Seniors (subcatgories: 19-34 de years, 35-44 years and 45-59 years) and Veterans (over 60 years).
